Assuming a 20 gallion tank, I’ve gone from getting 400 miles per fill up, to 700 miles per fill up. Let’s say I don’t drive a lot, and I fill up once every 2 weeks. Taking into account varible gas prices I will save anywhere between $50-$200 a year. In that car’s lifetime, I should save $250-$1000. Keep in mind, these are underestimates in all accounts. Your real savings will proabably be higher. All for the cost of a couple hundreds of dollars. At worst, you keep your carbon footprint down for even money. At best, you’re saving a lot of money while becoming more green as well.

This is another natural resource that’s going to waste thanks to our governments ignorance.

This take a huge toll on our economy, as we’re importing a staggering amount of that oil at a premium price from other countries. Moving to an alternative energy system would help the economy more than any kind of stimulus package could ever hope to, because we’d be able to keep the cash flow domestically.

As of 2009, there are no mass produced fuel cell cars in the market. The technology is there, and GM has promised the chevy Volt, which will run partly on fuel cells, and there is the Honda FCX with a similar design . But as of right now, no other car company plans to produce a straight fuel cell car. This is unacceptible, as the technology is there, and the demand is so high for more enviormentally friendly cars that you’d have to be a fool not to produce them. When will the big excutives listen to the consumers?

Let’s imagine that hydro cells are just as efficent as typical gas engines (they’re more efficent). If you are a senator, you have to decide which fuel system you want to promote in your state. But one has a spokesperson influencing you, and paying you to back their product, and one does not. This is exactly what a lobbyist for oil does. Becuase oil allready has a big indestry in America, it is in their best interest for this technology to never see the light of day. We can’t let this happen, people! We have to speak up for fuel cells, because no one else will. Write to your senator today.
