Fuel Cell Technology
There are many places where research is going on for fuel cells. First, there is the National Fuel Cell Research Center out in UC at Irvene, California. They are holding public “betas” right now for some of their prototype units, so if you are in the area, please drop by and give them a hand with their research.
There is also the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. They have facilities in Golden Colorado, and D.C. (one of the few buildings in D.C. dedicated to alternative energy). They also have jurisdiction over the wind power technology center, in Boulder Colorado. They are doing research on a more efficient material to use in fuel cells, and the projected cost and benefits of fuel cells in America.
There are also many independent college research being done in academia all over the country now. Any one of these research efforts can lead to more breakthroughs in technology.
